The chair project is coming along very well; you can tell by the amount of mess in the Art Room. We are working on it through this week, and are finishing up by next Tuesday, January 21, which is the last day of classes for the semester. Also due on that day will be your take home quiz on the chair project. Quizzes will be distributed in class, but you may also download a copy from the homework page on this website. Please note that you need an image of your chair, whether it is a printed out photo from your phone or a fairly accurate drawing (I am happy to supply paper…). And you need to get the number of the chair that inspired you from the "Wall O' Chairs".
Everyone who wished to have their collage grade revised was asked to put it in my basket by December 20. Those who did so received grade revisions for the project, based on the additional work that they did. This grade is your interim progress report average.
I hope that the Holiday break has been good for everyone. We are continuing to work on the chairs; you should be well into the creation of your chair's structural addition, and have started thinking about the decorative aspects. We will go into greater depth with those next week. Remember that there are essentially two weeks left to the marking period, so make those plans happen!
Your quiz will be offered the week of Jan 13-17, as a take home quiz, due on January 21. Remember that your MET paper is due next Monday, January 6th in the Art room. Based upon the stories I read while grading your collages, I suspect the papers will be good reading as well, and I am looking forward to them. |
